MARCH/APRIL 2024 ■ 39 Pack Makes Good Use Of Transfer Portal NC State's staff hit the ground run- ning once the portal opened in Decem- ber and assembled a class that repre- sents a homecoming for some former elite in-state recruits. Noah Rogers signed with Ohio State as a five-star receiver out of Rolesville High before transferring after one sea- son. Former Maryland defensive back Tamarcus Cooley is also a Rolesville grad and transferred to NC State this offseason. Wesley Grimes, a former elite re- ceiver recruit from Raleigh Millbrook High, picked Wake Forest over the Pack and spent two years with the De- mon Deacons before choosing to come home. "NC State, I feel like, has the best fans in North Carolina, especially with football," Grimes said. The coaches also received commit- ments from Duke running back Jordan Waters, who is from Fairmont, N.C., Oklahoma running back Hollywood Josh Alexander-Felton DL 6-3 240 Fr. Orlando, Fla./Edgewater HHH Finished with 93 tackles, including 22 for loss and 4 sacks, during his senior year. Terrell Anderson WR 6-2 185 Fr. Greensboro, N.C./Grimsley HHHH Caught 64 passes for 1,114 yards and 14 touchdowns in 14 games as a senior. CJ Bailey QB 6-6 190 Fr. Miami, Fla./Chaminade-Madonna HHH Completed 215 of 301 passing attempts (71.4 percent) for 3,125 yards as a senior, with 47 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Jivan Baly CB 5-11 155 Fr. Norcross, Ga./Meadowcreek HHH Totaled 50 tackles and 10 interceptions in his career at Meadowcreek. Brody Barnhardt S 6-0 188 Fr. Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day HHH Played both ways for Providence Day, finishing his career with 339 tackles, 14 interceptions and 2,726 all- purpose yards on offense. Chase Bond DE 6-4 255 Fr. Massillon, Ohio/Washington HHH Had 74 tackles in his career, including 24 for loss and 21 sacks, along with 13 pass breakups, 6 forced fum- bles and 8 fumble recoveries. Tank Boston WR 5-11 180 Fr. Anderson, S.C./Westside HHH Totaled 3,674 all-purpose yards in his career, including 2,302 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns. Asaad Brown Jr. NB 6-0 182 Fr. Chesapeake, Va./Mt. Zion Prep HHH Finished his senior season with 46 tackles, including 9.5 for loss and 6.5 sacks, along with 5 forced fumbles. Cross Plains, Tenn./East Robertson HHHH Had been committed to Kentucky but flipped to NC State in December following a senior season in which he totaled 76 tackles and 4 interceptions. Keenan Jackson WR 6-3 180 Fr. Waxhaw, N.C./Weddington HHH Amassed 3,058 total yards in 38 games (80.5 yards per game) and scored 35 touchdowns. Isiah Jones RB 5-7 193 Fr. Rolesville, N.C./Rolesville HHH Rushed for 1,616 yards and 14 touchdowns in 26 games at Rolesville, averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Cannon Lewis LB 6-2 221 Fr. Barboursville, W.Va./Cabell Midland HHH Had 181 tackles, including 18 for loss and 4 sacks, during his tenure at Cabell Midland. Robby Martin OL 6-3 302 Fr. Cummings HHHH Did it all as a senior, totaling 3,262 all-purpose yards while also amassing 75 tackles and 2 interceptions on defense. Ronnie Royal III S 5-11 175 Fr. Alexandria, Ala./Gulf Shores School HHH Returned 3 of his 5 interceptions for touchdowns as a senior while also totaling 55 tackles. Jayden "Duke" Scott RB 5-10 212 Fr.
