His first visit was for a junior day in February, and the staff was no doubt thrilled when the 6-4, 280-pound lineman made plans for another visit soon thereafter. That second trip prompted him to lock in an official visit for June 14-16. As of mid- April, Addison was also slated to take official visits to Florida (May 31-June 2), Oregon (June 7-9) and Florida State (June 21-23), with those three schools appear- ing to be PSU's top competitors. Addison is ranked No. 288 nationally and No. 24 at offensive tackle by On3. As for Porter, his visit was the first he had taken to Penn State in more than a year. Ranked No. 31 in the nation and No. 5 at wide receiver by On3, he has long been considered a coveted prospect for the staff. The Nittany Lions have work to do if they're going to earn his commitment. Michigan and Ohio State are considered the fa- vorites to earn a signature from the Bergen Catholic prospect. At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Por- ter would be a home run signing if the Nittany Lions are able to win out. As of mid-April, it was unclear whether he had any of- ficial visits set for June. The Blue-White Game on April 13 also featured a number of intriguing 2025 players, none more notable than linebacker LaVar Arrington II. Listed at 6-3, 200 pounds, Arrington has been something of an under-the-radar prospect despite being the son of one of Penn State's all-time greatest players. Given his family ties to the school, Penn State is ex- pected to be a serious contender. As of mid-April, it was unclear whether Arrington had official visits set to other schools, but the Covina, Calif., resident is expected to return to State Col- lege the weekend of June 21-23 for an official visit. Arrington has received a three-star grade from On3 and is the No. 38 line- backer nationally and No. 35 player in California. Edge rusher Jayden Loftin of Somer- ville, N.J., was also back on campus. Since picking up an offer from the Nit- tany Lions at the end of February, Loftin has visited twice, the first time for a practice on April 2. Loftin, who has not yet received a rat- ing from On3, has official visits locked in with West Virginia (May 31-June 2), Tennessee (June 7-9), Minnesota (June 14-16) and Penn State (June 21-23). The Nittany Lions are expected to be serious contenders, with most observers view- ing his recruitment as a battle between them and the Volunteers. De fe n s ive l i n e p ros p e c ts R a n dy Adirika and Floyd Boucard, both of whom attend Miami (Fla.) Central, were also in attendance. Adirika, who stands 6-5, 248 pounds, recently set up an official visit with Penn State for June 14-16. A three- star prospect according to On3, he has earned a dozen scholarship offers so far. He's taken multiple visits to Miami and Florida, and most believe that the Hur- ricanes are Penn State's main competi- tors. Adirika is rated by On3 as the No. 30 defensive lineman nationally and No. 48 prospect in Florida. Boucard, who grew up in Montreal, recently earned a three-star rating from On3 and is on the rise after claiming defensive line MVP honors at Under Ar- mour's Miami camp. Penn State was one of several schools to offer in the days that followed that camp. Listed by On3 as the No. 38 defensive lineman nation- ally and No. 66 prospect in Florida, he has official visits lined up to Louisville (May 31-June 2), Miami (June 7-9) and Oklahoma (June 14-16). Two other players to keep an eye on are offensive linemen No- lan Davenport and Michael Gibbs. Davenport, of Massillon, Ohio, earned an offer from Penn State in March. The 6-5, 270-pound tackle doesn't have an official visit set with the Nittany Li- ons but could become a player to monitor if other top targets at offensive tackle commit else- where. Ranked No. 272 by On3, he has official visits set up with Michigan State (June 14-16) and Missouri (June 21-23). Gibbs, a three-star player from Wilmington, N.C., is in the same situation as Daven- port. Penn State remains fo- cused on adding interior offen- sive lineman Michael Carroll of Doylestown, Pa., as its final in- terior piece. If Carroll were to go elsewhere, Gibbs could be one to keep an eye on. Listed at 6-3, 280 pounds, Gibbs has official visits locked in with Virginia Tech (June 7-9), Duke (June 14-16) and NC State (June 21-23). He is rated as the No. 36 interior offensive line- man by On3. ■ More than 100 prospects attended the Blue-White Game, including three-star line- backer LaVar Arrington II of Covina, Calif.
