There was nothing new for the Pack staff to show him on this trip, and he spent his time on campus tak- ing a close look at his future team, while also building closer connections with the coaching staff. Quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper con- tinued to bond with Wilson during this trip. They were already very close, but this visit helped the NC State commit see that his future position coach's per- sonality is consistent. He does not switch anything up when talking to his players or talking to recruits. While on campus for the spring game, Wilson also delivered a recruiting pitch to some uncommitted prospects. He has been talking to a few fellow South Carolina standouts — four-star wide receiver Malik Clark, three-star tight end Mike Tyler and 2026 quarterback Jayvon Gilmore — about teaming up with him in Raleigh. Wilson will officially visit NC State June 21-23. Clark is also slated to spend that weekend with the Pack, and the quarterback is working to get more tal- ent on campus for the final stretch of summer official visits. "It's going to be a big one," Wilson said. "I can't wait. It's going to be a great time. Getting to spend time with some great people, getting to learn about some new guys. Hopefully we can get some guys to call Raleigh their home."
