Assis- tant coach Ron Bellamy is leading the Wolverines' efforts to keep the No. 101 overall prospect in the country close to home. After taking in three game-day visits over the past two seasons, Sadler recently returned to The Big House in April for the Michigan spring game. At 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, the versatile athlete also is the No. 14-ranked 2026 wide receiver nationally, accord- ing to the On3 Industry Ranking. He finished with 481 passing yards and 6 touch- downs while playing quarterback for Cass Tech last fall, adding 547 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns on the ground. On defense, he totaled 27 tackles, 5 pass breakups and an interception return for a touchdown. The Detroit Free Press named Sadler to its 2023 Dream Team. On300 CB Jakob Weatherspoon Avon (Ohio) High Michigan was the first to offer Weatherspoon in September 2023, when the then-sophomore from sub- urban Cleveland returned to Ann Ar- bor for the Bowling Green game. He also attended the Ohio State game. Weatherspoon initially visited the Michigan campus last summer for the annual BBQ at The Big House. Weatherspoon, now ranked as On3's No. 174 over- all prospect and the No. 14 cornerback nationally in the 2026 class, has been assisted in the recruiting process by his former Avon teammate, offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, who signed with the Wol- verines in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Hamilton put Weatherspoon on the U-M coaching staff's radar, which led to an offer. The 5-foot-11, 172 pounder also holds offers from Ohio State, Penn State, Cincinnati, Pitt and Syracuse. Four-Star EDGE Luke Wafle Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School Wafle is the younger brother of 2024 Michigan defensive lineman signee Owen Wafle. Luke traveled to Ann Arbor alongside his sibling in late November to see the Ohio State game, but he didn't hold an offer at the time. That changed when the Wolverines pulled the trigger during the winter contact period in Janu- ary. Mike Elston was on staff at the time, and an opportunity to meet new defensive line coach Lou Esposito in person didn't occur until Wafle's return trip on April 20 for the spring game. Although Wafle has the chance to be teammates with his brother, he's keeping his options open, with offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State and Texas. Michigan continues to be a strong contender for the 6-foot-4, 225 pounder.
