Defensive tackle Jarquez Carter of Newberry, Fla., was set to announce his decision on July 18. It was believed that Ohio State was the leader for Carter, who stands at 6-2, 270 pounds, but Penn State, Miami and UCF were also in the mix. Carter holds a three-star grade in the Industry Ranking and from On3's scouts. Iose Epenesa, the younger brother of former Iowa defensive lineman and cur- rent Buffalo Bill A.J. Epenesa, is also a possibility. Listed at 6-3, 265 pounds, the Edwardsville, Ill., native could play defensive end or move inside to tackle depending on how he grows. Rated No. 32 in the nation in the On3 Industry Ranking, Epenesa would be a major win for the Lions. As of mid-July, the five-star prospect was believed to be focused on Penn State, Miami, Iowa and Utah. ■ C L A S S O F 2 0 2 5 C O M M I T M E N T S * NAME POS HT WT RATING** HOME SCHOOL Randy Adirika DL 6-3 280 HHH Miami Miami Central Owen Aliciene OT 6-7 270 HHHH Avon, Conn.
