FALL 2024 25
"I love being a goalie, but it's a very dif-
ferent aspect of the team than being on the
field with everyone else."
All this has led to the team's success on
the field and some key moments that stick
with Kennedy, including a key save in last
year's NCAA first-round game against Saint
Joseph's.
"I'll always remember that save," she said
of the Cavaliers' 2-1 win over the Hawks.
"It was a broken-up corner, and they hit
it close range into the far post. I just got
it with my stick, a very lucky touch. It ul-
timately changed the momentum of the
game and led us into the Elite Eight.
"My favorite game I've ever played was
our ACC win at Syracuse my first year. We
needed to win because we weren't having
the best start to the season. Something
about the atmosphere of that game, I'll al-
ways remember it. It was really fun."
"
I feel like traditionally, you put the most
unathletic kid in the goal, but I can move
quickly. I might not have the best form,
but I can figure it out as we play."
