He played in six games in 2021, crossing the redshirt threshold by two contests. Vanover used all four years from 2021-24. DE Smith Vilbert: Redshirted in 2019 and played in 12 games in 2021. He only played in the Rose Bowl in 2022 and did not play due to an injury in 2023. At last check, Penn State was exploring its options for getting Vilbert another year. His only chance of returning in 2025 would be to receive a waiver from the NCAA. TE Tyler Warren: Came to Penn State as part of the team's 2020 recruit- ing class and did not use a redshirt. He's one of a handful of players in that class who could have only gotten another year by playing in four or fewer games in 2024. G Sal Wormley: Is in his sixth year at Penn State. Wormley redshirted in 2019 and missed the entire 2021 season with an injury. He's using his COVID year in 2024. Additional Eligibility Available QB Drew Allar: Did not redshirt upon his arrival at Penn State as a true freshman in 2022. He will have one year left should he choose to use it in 2025. RB Kaytron Allen: Like his class- mate Nicholas Singleton, Allen did not redshirt in 2022. He will have one year left should he choose to use it in 2025. LB Abdul Carter: Did not redshirt upon arrival in 2022. He has one year left to use in 2025, and while he wasn't introduced to the crowd on Senior Day, all signs point to the NFL Draft. WR Liam Clifford: Redshirted upon arrival as a part of the 2021 class. He will have one year left after 2024, but he was among the players who were introduced at Senior Day. C Nick Dawkins: Arrived in 2020 but used a redshirt year in 2022 due to an injury. He has the option to return in 2025 for his final year. LB Dominic DeLuca: Took a gray- shirt year after tearing his ACL in his final high school game in 2019. He first appeared on the roster in 2021 and red- shirted. DeLuca still has one year left to play in 2025, although he was among the players who walked on Senior Day. DE Dani Dennis-Sutton: Did not redshirt upon arrival in 2022. He will have one year left should he choose to use it in 2025. TE Khalil Dinkins: Redshirted upon arrival as a part of the 2021 class. He will have one year left after 2024. DT Zane Durant: Did not redshirt upon arrival in 2022. He will have one year left should he choose to use it in 2025. DE Zuriah Fisher: Took a similar path to Dawkins in that he arrived in 2020 and redshirted due to an injury in 2022. Fisher has at least one more year available, and he would be a likely candidate for a medical hardship after missing the 2024 season. DT Alonzo Ford: Was at Old Do- minion in 2020 when the Monarchs opted out of the season. He played for coach Ricky Rahne in 2021 and '22 be- fore transferring to Penn State ahead of the 2023 season. Ford was injured in fall camp and missed the entire year, resulting in a redshirt season. Ford has one more year, and he'll have to work back from a long-term injury he suf- fered against Minnesota in November. G Olaivavega Ioane: Redshirted upon arrival as a part of the 2022 class. He will have two years left to play after 2024. CB Jalen Kimber: Started his career at Georgia in 2020 before transferring to Florida. He redshirted in 2021, giving him an extra year if he wants to use it. Intel suggests that he'll move on after 2024, however. LB Kobe King: Redshirted upon ar- rival as a part of the 2021 class. He will have one year left after 2024, but he walked on Senior Day. CB Cam Miller: Did not redshirt upon arrival in 2022. He will have one year left should he choose to use it in 2025. S Tyrece Mills: Graduated from Northeast High in Philadelphia in 2019 and enrolled at Lackawanna College but didn't play that year. He transferred to Penn State ahead of the 2022 season and redshirted due to an injury. Mills played in six games in 2023 and has played in ev- ery game this season. He'll be eligible to return in 2025 but walked on Senior Day. OL JB Nelson: Was a freshman at Lackawanna College in 2020 when the Falcons did not have a season. He played in 2021 before transferring to Penn State in 2022 and redshirting his first year as a four-for-three player. He could return in 2025. OT Nolan Rucci: Redshirted at Wis- consin in 2021. He used two years of eligibility during his tenure in Madison and arrived at Penn State with two years left to play. He'll have one year left after this season. PK Sander Sahaydak: Redshirted upon arrival as a part of the 2021 class. He will have one year left after 2024, but he took his bows at Senior Day. OT Drew Shelton: Did not redshirt upon arrival in 2022. He will have one year left should he choose to use it in 2025. RB Nicholas Singleton: Did not redshirt upon arrival in 2022. He will have one year left should he choose to use it in 2025. P Riley Thompson: The exact na- ture of Thompson's eligibility isn't in question, but the route that he took to get where he is — with one year remain- ing after 2024 — is a bit unclear. He's 24 and started attending college in his na- tive Australia in 2019, but he announced last offseason that the NCAA approved him for two more seasons. WR Harrison Wallace III: Red- shirted upon arrival as a part of the class of 2021. He will have one year left after the 2024 season. Wallace was among the players introduced to the crowd on Senior Day. S Zakee Wheatley: Redshirted upon arrival as a part of the 2021 class. He took part in Senior Day but will have one year left after 2024 if he opts to use it. S KJ Winston: Did not redshirt upon arrival in 2022. It's likely not relevant at this point, but 2024 would count as a redshirt year and he would have two years left to play starting in 2025. He did not participate in the Lions' Senior Day introductions. ■
