TRACKING THE PACK JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2025 ■ 15 PACK PERFORMERS Grace Hartman, Women's Cross Country Hartman was named ACC Women's Cross Country Performer of the Year in early December after a junior season in which she was NC State's top finisher in every race. The Oakwood, Ohio, native took home individual titles at the ACC and NCAA Southeast Re- gional championship meets, and she wrapped up her season by placing fifth at the NCAA Championship, covering the 6-kilometer course in Madison, Wis., in 19:39.5. Hartman's ACC honor marked the sixth consecutive season in which a Wolfpack runner was named the conference's Performer of the Year. Hakim Karamoko, Men's Soccer Karamoko was a key part of NC State's dramatic turnaround in its first season under coach Marc Hubbard. The soph- omore forward from New York led the Wolfpack in goals (7) and was tied for second in points (16) and shots taken (45). He started 14 of the team's 20 games, including its three NCAA Tourna- ment contests. Karamoko was named to the second-team All-ACC squad following the regular season and was later a first-team choice for the United Soccer Coaches NCAA D1 Men's All-South squad. Amanda Rice, Women's Volleyball The senior opposite hitter from Lemont, Ill., became the fourth player in program his- tory to receive All-America honors, earning an honorable mention nod from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Rice also won AVCA All-Region and second-team All-ACC recognition after finishing the season with 366 kills. She reached double figures in 20 of 29 matches and surpassed 20 kills three times. In NC State's match versus No. 10 SMU on Nov. 30, she had a season-high 23 kills to lead the Pack to a 3-2 win. Isaac Trumble, Wrestling Ranked fifth by InterMat in the 285-pound weight class, Trumble finished second at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational Dec. 6-7, posting three bonus-point victories en route to the final. The redshirt junior from Springfield, Neb., opened the tournament by pinning Cornell's Aiden Compton in 59 seconds. He then defeated Northern Iowa's 17th-ranked Lance Runyon by technical fall, 18-3, in the quarterfinals and earned a 9-0 major decision over Arizona State's seventh-ranked Cohl- ton Schultz in the semis before losing by fall to third-ranked Wyatt Hendrickson of Oklahoma State in the final. — Matt Herb
