6 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ WOLFPACK CLUB NEWS Where did you grow up? Chapel Hill, N.C. What college did you graduate from? NC State. I graduated in the summer of '21. What are your responsibilities with the Wolfpack Club? I am the assistant director of annual giving. We help fundraise for the schol- arship bill here with the Wolfpack Club and NC State Athletics. That is our main responsibility here on the annual giving team, but we also help out all throughout the state. My territory has now been changed to the northeastern part of the state and then the up- state of South Carolina as well. What did you do before joining the Wolf- pack Club? All throughout college, I had worked in college athletics. I was at a community college before I came to NC State for undergrad, and I worked over at UNC in event management on their facility side with game operations, along with the town of Chapel Hill in parks and rec. How did you get started at the Wolfpack Club? To grad- uate from NC State in sport management, you've got to do an internship. I was working at UNC doing my internship, and I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to come over here after that internship and start an internship with the Wolfpack Club. I was an intern for about six months, from June 2022 to Jan. 1, 2023, and that's when I be- came a full-time staff member. What's your favorite part of the job? It's getting to see all of our donors and fans on game days and to see their faces light up and the smile on their faces when they walk into Carter-Finley, Reynolds or Lenovo Center. … I grew up around college athletics, and I got to have those experi- ences, especially when I was a kid. When I get to see people and children with a big smile on their face when they walk into Carter-Finley, that is what keeps me going in this job. Hobbies: I like hanging out with all my friends and family. Favorite TV show: "Family Guy." Favorite movie: "Kicking and Screaming." Favorite musical artist: The Eagles. Favorite restaurant: Rigo's Pizzeria in Cary. Favorite Wolfpack memory: Driving up to Pittsburgh for the rounds of 64 and 32 in the NCAA Regionals with one of my co-workers, Braden. We drove up at 4 a.m. … That was a fun weekend up in Pittsburgh when we played Texas Tech and Oakland. WOLFPACK CLUB STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Blake Hirth, Assistant Director Of Annual Giving Hirth said his favorite part of working for the Wolfpack Club is seeing the smiles on the faces of fans and donors on NC State game days. "That is what keeps me going in this job," he said.
