NCAA NIL guidelines
• An NIL deal can't be used as a
recruiting inducement to enroll at
NC State.
• An NIL deal can't be used as pay
for play based on a student-ath-
lete's performance.
•
An NIL deal can't be used as pay
for stay to keep a student-athlete
at NC State instead of transferring
or turning professional; and
• An NIL deal must include a quid
pro quo.
The NCAA has recently provided
additional updates to member institu
-
tions regarding presumed NIL viola-
tions. As such, a representative of ath-
letics interests (e.g., booster) should
not contact
prospects or their family
members about either recruiting or
NIL arrangements. A representative
of athletics interests (e.g., booster)
should also not enter into an NIL ar
-
rangement with a prospect until that
individual has matriculated
into NC
State.
