BGI: Do you believe Notre Dame is recruiting at a level where they can win a national championship? Power: "Definitely. They made the title game this past season, and this class is in line with how they built that team. They've done a good job with evaluating, developing and building depth in their roster. They have certain positions that they really excel at, and it leads to a really strong defensive team and one that can run the ball. They've recruited the offensive line as well as anyone in the country — if not the best in the country. "The biggest thing with Notre Dame is getting the quarterback right, but all things considered, this is a team that can compete for a national champion- ship, as we saw this year." Lemming: "Without a doubt they're recruiting at that level. This class is similar to what Brian Kelly was bring- ing in, but they have Marcus Freeman who can get them into the top five in recruiting. "They have everything going for them — tradition and new facilities. They're putting players in the NFL — and those players are doing well in the league. Notre Dame has what it takes to win a national title." Wiltfong: "They're recruiting at a level that puts them in the national championship conversation, but they don't have much margin for error or in- jury. There are not many teams that are recruiting better than them, but I would like to see Notre Dame get more guys who can score on a single touch.
