MARCH 2025 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 9 BY ANTHONY BROOME M ichigan Stadium will host its first-ever concert on Sept. 27, 2025, featuring Zach Bryan with spe- cial guest John Mayer along with Ryan Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone. Tickets for the historic concert went on sale Feb. 14 via AXS.com. Doors will open at 4 p.m. for a 6 p.m. show. The concert will take place on U-M football's first bye week before it returns to host Wisconsin on Oct. 4, allowing for a two-week load-in and load-out process of the concert equipment. AEG Presents is promoting the con- cert, featuring the multi-platinum, Grammy-award-winning Bryan, who just wrapped "The Quittin' Time Tour" across 85 arenas and stadiums across North America. The tour was the high- est-grossing in North America last year, selling 1.6 million tickets and raking in more than $321 million in gross revenue according to Billboard magazine. "In barely five years, Zach Bryan has transformed from cult-roots road war- rior to fast-rising country-adjacent renegade to Number One hitmaker and voice-of-a-Gen-Z-generation story- teller," Rolling Stone magazine said. U-M has been exploring the possibili- ties of adding more live events in recent years, and the Bryan announcement is a realization of that vision. "We are excited to have award-win- ning artist Zach Bryan perform the very first concert at Michigan Stadium," ath- letics director Warde Manuel said in a statement Feb. 12. "I would like to thank the Board of Regents, President Ono, the Executive Officers of the University and many of our athletic department staff as well as AEG Presents, for all the work that has brought us to this point in the process. We have been studying and evaluating what it takes to host a con- cert at Michigan Stadium for a couple of years and today marks that next step in the venture with great partners."
