Once schools started locking in visit dates, it set off a domino effect for nearly all Power Four programs throughout the first few weeks of February. That's why we've seen such a drastic surge in official visits being set months in advance. Penn State was among the first to take advantage of this rule change, and its proactive approach allowed it to set dates with many of its key players in June. Four-star safety Joey O'Brien of La Salle College High in Glenside, Pa., appears to be the only outlier. After confirming that he'll visit Penn State May 16-18, the 6-foot-4, 180-pound athlete followed up by informing On3 that Clemson, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Ohio State all have visits set with him in June. We expect Penn State's staff to see if they can find a way to push back his trip to State College. There's another reason why that third weekend in May is intriguing for Penn State. With no limit to the number of players it can host, there's no reason not to take a shot with prospects who will likely be tough to land. That's what we expect the Nittany Lions to do. Three Florida prospects — safety Kaiden Hall of Mil- ton, linebacker Izayia Williams of Lees- burg and defensive tackle James Johnson of Cape Coral — are all set to visit that Defensive tackle James Johnson is one of three four-star Florida prospects who are slated to check out Penn State the weekend of May 16-18.
