E
ight former Notre Dame players
were in Indianapolis for the NFL
Combine the last week of Feb-
ruary. But if you were looking
for some theatrics from their perfor-
mances, you didn't really get any.
Most of the Fighting Irish representa-
tives did not partake in testing drills be-
cause of how quickly the combine came
following Notre Dame's Jan. 20 partici-
pation in the national championship
game. They opted to sit out the physical
parts of the combine to rest and recover,
likely choosing instead to get to work at
Notre Dame's pro day.
One player, though, decided to do ev-
erything. Blue & Gold Illustrated's high-
lighting of three of the eight Notre Dame
combine participants in this feature be-
gins with that one particular player.
DOING IT ALL
Mitchell Evans fielded a couple ques-
tions in the early portion of his NFL
Scouting Combine media session that
had to be incredibly easy to answer —
way easier than anything the teams
themselves were bound to ask in their
closed-door meetings with the former
Notre Dame tight end.
The first — why Notre Dame?
FACE TIME
Notre Dame was well represented
at the NFL Combine,
but for most players it was
a mere formality to be there
