He could be the first Penn State tight end selected in the top 10 since Kyle Brady in 1995. Barring a major surprise, Warren will be the earliest tight end draftee of the James Franklin era at Penn State, topping Mike Gesicki, who was chosen by Miami in Round 2 of the 2018 draft with the 42nd overall pick. Warren is heading to the NFL on the heels of a history-making senior season during which he broke Big Ten records for a tight end with his 104 catches for 1,233 yards. He was responsible for 81 percent of the catches, 84 percent of the yards and 72 percent of the touchdowns by Penn State tight ends last season. And perhaps even more remarkable, he accounted for 33 percent of the Nittany Lions' total re- ceiving yards. Warren's exit leaves second-year of- fensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki with a critical question to answer heading into spring practice: Who will Penn State rely upon to make plays in the passing game in 2025? The Lions are loaded in most other respects. Quarterback Drew Allar and running backs Nicholas Single- ton and Kaytron Allen are all experienced seniors with proven playmaking ability, and the offensive line looks to be another strength.
