TRACKING THE PACK JULY/AUGUST 2025 ■ 11 land (6-6, 200, Sr.), Paul McNeil (6-5, 180, So.) Outlook: Arceneaux has a chance to be one of the Wolfpack's more impact- ful additions. He's long at 6-foot-6 but still super athletic and can guard multi- ple positions. He was one of the top de- fenders on a Houston team that reached the national title game, and he can still fill the stat sheet, with averages of 6.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists last season. At NC State, he'll look to con- tinue building his NBA Draft stock. Copeland, meanwhile, can do a little bit of everything. He can handle the ball and is more than capable of driving to the rim. His three-point shot needs work; Copeland went 4 of 26 from long range last season. But his overall shoot- ing rate of 48.8 percent was solid. McNeil showed flashes of what he could do last season, especially in an 85-73 win over Wake Forest in February in which he went 8 of 13 from the floor and finished with 24 points. He pro- jects as a wing but can also contribute at shooting guard. Forward Starter: Darrion Williams (6-6, 225, Sr.) Primary backups: Jerry Deng (6-9, 220, Jr.), Colt Langdon (6-7, 225, R-Fr.) Outlook: The crown jewel in NC State's transfer class is Williams, a con- sensus top-10 player and EvanMiya's No. 1 transfer prospect this offseason. He averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists this past season at Texas Tech, finding mismatches on the floor and exploiting them with ease. Deng is a stretch four who will help space the floor. The Florida State trans- fer shot 37 percent from deep last sea- son. He didn't attack the rim much, with just 56 attempts from inside the arc, but that's a part of his game he is looking to expand. Langdon, a Raleigh native and for- mer Millbrook High star, redshirted last season at Butler. It will be interesting to see how many minutes he can earn this offseason. Center Starter: Ven-Allen Lubin (6-8, 230, Sr.) Primary backups: Scottie Ebube (6-10, 275, Sr.), Mikey Wilkins (6-8, 240, Fr.) Outlook: NC State thought it had the center of the future when it signed Paul Mbiya, but the Congolese prospect decommitted in mid-June. Wade and his staff responded by landing Ebube, a Wyoming transfer. Although Mbiya is no longer headed to Raleigh, NC State can still lean on top talent in the frontcourt thanks to the arrival of Lubin, formerly of UNC. On3's No. 95 overall player in the portal this cycle, Lubin was the Tar Heels' best performer down the stretch last season, posting 11 double-figure scoring efforts. His best game was a 20-point, 10-re- bound showing against Duke in the ACC Tournament semifinals. Ebube projects to come off the bench, while Wilkins, a four-star freshman, could play his way into the rotation. ■ A PERCENTAGE OF EVERY HOME SALE GOES TO SUPPORT ALZHEIMER'S RESEARCH AND CARE.
