This spring, I've been feeling good, feeling healthy, and able to move faster and stronger. I definitely agree with Coach Wink." Moore wants to not only appear bigger, but be precisely that in the way he goes about his business and in the impact he has on younger Wolverines. "This is my last year," he said. "I just want to do whatever I can to help my team. If in the first game, I've got to go out and lay my body on the line for the guys, I'm for sure, 100 percent, all in. "Last year, I knew what I wanted for myself, but also for the team. In order for us to get where we want to be, I'll play defense, offense, special teams, what- ever. I'm trying to step up and be a leader for the younger guys. After this year, a lot of the younger guys are going to be the guys to step up and play a key role. "I want to be a vocal leader this year and make big plays, do all I can to help my team. I want to win every game." To do so, the Wolverines will need an elite defense, Moore assured. He's con- vinced the Wolverines will deliver one. "I feel like this might be one of the best defenses in Michigan history," he said. "We've got a lot of returning guys. In '23, we had a lot of returning guys, and this year we've got a lot of returning guys. Last year, we had a lot of guys who were just getting their name heard. This year, more guys want to get that name heard so bad. When spring ball came around, you just saw who wanted it more. "There was a lot of competition. When it's time to play on Saturdays, all of the competition that went on in spring ball is Coming out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Moore was listed as the No. 37 prep player and No. 6 edge in the nation and the second-best prospect in Maryland, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
