36 THE WOLVERINE ❱ SEPTEMBER 2025 BY ANTHONY BROOME T he 2021 class came to Michigan in one of the most fascinating times in program history. With recruitment closed out in 2020, against the backdrop of an underwhelming COVID season and with Jim Harbaugh on the hot seat, this was the group that helped spark a three-year run of domi- nance in the Big Ten, capped off by a 15-0 season and College Football Playoff national championship in 2023. A handful of players remain heading into the 2025 season with a chance to help kickstart a new CFP run under head coach Sherrone Moore. Recruiting Name Pos. Stars ANDREL ANTHONY WR ★★★ Anthony will be remembered for his 6-catch, 155-yard and 2-touchdown perfor- mance at Michigan State in 2021, but he to- taled only 19 receptions in two seasons with the Wolverines before transferring to Okla- homa. Anthony spent the last two years at Oklahoma and transferred to Duke for 2025. RAHEEM ANDERSON OL ★★★★ The 6-foot-3, 318-pounder saw action in 18 outings over four seasons and transferred to Western Michigan this offseason. KECHAUN BENNETT EDGE ★★★ Played in 28 career games, totaling 7 tack- les. Bennett transferred to UCLA during the past offseason. RAYSHAUN BENNY DT ★★★★ A breakout contributor in 2023-24 and locked-in starter coming into 2025, Benny has suited up in 39 career games with 71 tackles, 9 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. TRISTAN BOUNDS OL ★★★ Appeared in just seven games in four sea- sons and transferred to Arizona for 2025. JUNIOR COLSON LB ★★★★ From Haiti to Nashville to Ann Arbor and now Los Angeles, the two-time second-team All-Big Ten selection became the No. 69 over- all pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Chargers. Colson lived up to his billing as an elite re- cruit, leading the Wolverines in tackles each of his last two seasons (101 in 2022 and 95 in '23).
