C O M INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINE The region isn't as deep at this po- sition as it is at offensive tackle, but Penn State still finds itself in a good spot with a handful of quality pros- pects. Two players to note within the Mid- Atlantic are Ian Walker of the Pen- nington School in Burlington, N.J., and Carter Jones of Poquoson, Va. Although Walker hasn't been ranked yet, the 6-5, 305-pounder has seen his stock soar since May, adding qual- ity offers from Florida, Georgia, Ohio State and Tennessee. He attended Penn State's Lasch Bash in July and is set to return for the White Out game. Jones is set to take his third visit to Penn State when he attends the showdown against Oregon. The 6-5, 280-pound lineman is ranked No. 195 nationally by Rivals, No. 6 at his posi- tion and No. 6 in Virginia. Clemson is among the early favorites, but with additional visits set to Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas this fall, we'll likely get a better read on Jones after the season. There are also three players from out- side the Nittany Lions' normal recruit- ing footprint who have genuine inter- est, none more than California resident Lucas Rhoa. Listed at 6-5, 280 pounds, Rhoa has family ties to Penn State. His father attended PSU, and several family members reside in Central Pennsylva- nia.
