C O M T he nonconference schedule is set for the Penn State men's basketball team ahead of coach Mike Rhoades' third season with the program. The slate was finalized in late August, and there is no shortage of winnable games on the docket. Two high-major opponents highlight the 11-game nonconference schedule, with games against Pitt and Providence both set for neutral sites. The Panthers will face PSU at the Giant Center in Her- shey, Pa., on Dec. 21, while the Friars are set for a Nov. 22 clash at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., part of the three-game Hall of Fame Showcase. The other two games in the series will be sandwiched around the Providence matchup, with Penn State welcoming Harvard to the Bryce Jordan Center on Nov. 19 and Boston University on Nov. 25. Last season, Harvard finished No. 256 in the NCAA NET rankings with a 12-15 overall record, going 7-7 in the Ivy League. Boston University, meanwhile, went 16- 16 with a 10-8 mark in the Patriot League. The other one-off, neutral-site game on the schedule comes on Nov. 15 when the Nittany Lions return to Philadel- phia. In a follow-up to last year's tilt with Drexel at Xfinity Mobile Arena, Penn State will play La Salle to get back into another NBA venue.
