4 THE WOLVERINE ❱ OCTOBER 2025 JUSTICE HAYNES' BURST … I'm convinced it's the best we've ever seen in a Michigan uniform. I've been watching since the early '70s and watched every second of Tyrone Wheatley and every other great back we've had. I'm not saying Haynes is faster (not saying he isn't either) but rewatching that 75-yard TD at Nebraska, it became clear to me that he reaches top speed faster than anyone I've seen at RB in a Michigan uniform. Denard Robinson had it, too, but obviously he wasn't a RB. What an incredible addition Justice has been. I expected him to be a good back, but I didn't expect this. Phoenixblue Denard was a RB playing QB. Denard did it more gracefully and was much more fluid laterally. Justice is pure power and violence. I would get out of the way if I were an opposing player. Dr.Wolverine Just posted this in another thread. He's pretty fast. [Video] Reel Analytics' Fastest 5 College Foot- ball Players of Week 4: T4 at 21.5 mph – Michigan RB Justice Haynes Maizerage81 Long-distance breakaway speed for both Mike Hart and Blake Corum (after knee surgery) were both those RBs' only weaknesses. … That long-distance breakaway speed Haynes has is what puts him in a category with [Tony] Boles, Wheatley, [Donovan] Edwards and some others. Haynes is an outstanding RB. mjt2317 Edwards had great burst but he was inconsis- tent. Haynes has great burst and is violent with his running. It's amazing to watch. Mich0885 Robinson and Wheatley were definitely faster than Haynes, but all three are/were able to outrun 99 percent of secondaries, which means they are functionally equivalent as home-run hitters. Blue Veins Donovan Edwards had great top-end speed and burst. I'm not sure who would win a race between those two. Haynes seems better about breaking tackles and setting up blocks. bluex2 I'm surprised every week watching his film. Haynes makes some really tough stuff look easy. Great burst and vision, as noted … but my favorite part of his game might be the balance and low center of gravity. He's great at eating contact and staying in control of his body, sort of like Blake was. And just like we saw Corum do on repeat, Haynes has a knack for turning 3-4 yard gains into 7-8, and squeezing 4-5 yards out of basi- cally nothing. No hate at all to Mullings and Dono, but that's a huge difference compared to last season. There's a world of difference be- tween 2nd-and-9 and 2nd-and-5 for offensive and defensive play callers. And especially help- ful in our case to keep a frosh QB on schedule. NotTom [Jordan] Marshall, [Savion] Hiter and [Jasper] Parker next year could be really fun, too. But, Haynes might be the most important portal guy we've had in a while. He's been elite. May be the best back in the country right now. krs919 ❱ Be Heard!
