BLUEGOLDONLINE.COM OCT. 11, 2025 27 JADARIAN PRICE PROVIDES FINAL BLOW When Notre Dame needed to remove all doubt on the outcome of its home game against Boise State, the Irish of- fense turned to redshirt junior running back Jadarian Price. Literally, redshirt freshman quarter- back CJ Carr turned after taking the snap in a pistol formation and handed the ball to Price. Notre Dame's offensive line did a solid job of clearing a path for the seven yards needed on second down. Price took care of the rest. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound back ran away from a tackle attempt near the first- down line, bounced off a pair of defend- ers near the 25-yard line and ran through a tackle attempt at his legs near the 10- yard line on his way to a 49-yard touch- down run. Not a bad way for Notre Dame to extend its lead to the eventual final score with 7:54 remaining in the game. "In the running back room, we're all about yards after contact," Price said when asked how many tackles he broke on the play. "Sometimes we joke around, hey, let's go and touch a guy so we can get that yards after contact. Last year, I led the nation in yards after contact. That's a challenge to myself this year as well. "It's just a credit to what we did in the offseason working on contact balance to help making you break tackles and things like that." Price finished with 8 carries for 83 yards, including the longest run of the game on his touchdown. Starting run- ning back Jeremiyah Love, a junior, rushed 16 times for 103 yards, includ- ing a 4-yard touchdown in the second quarter. For the fourth consecutive game, both Price and Love rushed for touchdowns. Notre Dame's offense left points on the board against Boise State. Love was stuffed on a fourth-and-goal at the 1-yard line at the end of Notre Dame's first drive of the game. Early in the sec- ond quarter, Carr missed redshirt senior wide receiver Will Pauling running wide open on a fourth-and-8 that should have been a 28-yard touchdown. A strong performance from Notre Dame's defense made sure those letdowns didn't make a difference in the outcome. "We've done a great job of just staying together as a complete unit," Price said. "It's not pointing fingers at the defense the past couple weeks. They've done a great job of coming together as a unit and not listening to the outside noise. "As an offense, we started very slow. We had too many penalties and things like that. But the defense stepped up and really made sure we stayed in the game and kept the lead." Notre Dame's rushing attack finished with a total of 200 yards and 2 touch- downs on 31 carries. Price and Love combined for 186 of those yards. The dynamic duo delivered again. This time Price provided the final blow.
