The Wolverines were outshot 10-1 in the opening period, which led to a pair of Scarlet Knight scores that were too much to overcome. Sophomore Elle Ervin scored her seventh goal of the season in the 57th minute, but it would not be enough to spark a comeback effort. Volleyball Crisler Center was sold out on Oct. 19 for U-M's showdown with top-ranked Nebraska, with over 12,707 in attendance, the largest crowd in program history. The attendance mark topped the old record by more than 4,000 people. Unfortunately, the Cornhuskers handled business, defeating the Wolverines in straight sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-18).
