4 THE WOLVERINE ❱ DECEMBER 2025 U-M FOOTBALL FAN OPINIONS RUN THE SPECTRUM To say this Michigan football team is disappointing is an understatement. Don't be fooled by the record. The per- formance against Northwestern was horrible, especially after a bye week. This team lacks discipline and leadership. Un- derwood has not progressed and the play calling is abysmal. I'm not convinced Sherrone Moore is the man to lead the ship. This team has not progressed week to week. On the road, this team is lost. Total disconnect. While bowl eligible, this team has underachieved. I see no leaders in the face of younger players. Just a very disappointing season — no progress in this team as the season has moved along. I had hoped for something better. Not a national championship contender but at least optimistic about the future. I don't see it in this time. Michael Peuler Cranberry Township, Pa Here's a call for some common sense and a middle ground … To the "Fire Sherrone" crowd: Honestly, some of you are just quite embarrassing. You can't even wait until you can start your own thread to say that Sherrone should be fired. Usually about 3 minutes into the game. And to those of you who have said you hope we lose out so we get a new coach, you should spend your Satur- days knitting or doing crossword puzzles. He is a young coach, with a young team. And it has some flaws. He is in no way on any hot seat, the only thing hot is your takes about why you would fire him today. I suggest we take a little bit of the emotion out and give him a chance. To the Sherrone apologists: On the flip- side, there are those of you who are saying that he is doing "one of the best jobs in the country." If you truly believe that I have some swamp land in Arizona you may be interested in. There are some things that are concerning. Clock management, lack of discipline, lack of attention to detail, some of the staff question marks. Be hon- est and admit that he has a lot to prove yet. He is learning on the job, but he is far from someone who has shown he's going to earn the right to retire at Michigan. Overall: This is a young and flawed team. We are 8-2, as ugly as that 8-2 is. Sherrone will sink or swim next year. We will have a more experienced and talented roster. Next year there are no excuses for not being competitive with any team. No amount of hype or excuses are a sub- stitute for the results. Will he succeed? That we don't know. The only thing we do know is that everyone should be rooting for him. Have your doubts, but rooting for him to succeed is certainly the best hope for our program moving forward. BlueTK There isn't one person nationally who thinks Sherrone Moore is coaching for his job. We are one of, if not the youngest, teams in the Big Ten. We had almost 500 yards today, Northwestern had like 250. Three of the [five] turnovers were 100 percent on Bryce [Underwood]. He hap- pens to be a freshman QB who played very well otherwise. The young O-line won the game in the fourth quarter with a third- string walk-on running back. The concerns were obvious today: Off- sides in the first half, special teams, an incredibly poor play call on the reverse and turnovers. Michigan overcame all of it and won. Michigan was favored by 10 points to- day, not 30. Again, Moore isn't going anywhere. This message board is about the only place that it even gets brought up (I don't count any degenerates on social media). UMfan1525 ❱ Be Heard! Send your letters to: Wolverine Letters P.O.
