BLUEGOLDONLINE.COM MARCH 2026 63 2026 FOOTBALL RECRUITING ISSUE and No. 79 overall player nationally. But his actual "grade" as a recruit re- mains unchanged at 91, with a 100 be- ing the highest possible grade. When Power and Co. slotted Jarrard into the 2026 class with that 91 grade, he landed where that grade placed him in the na- tional rankings, which was No. 18 for quarterbacks. "Ranking prospects who are reclas- sifying up like Jarrard is one of the more challenging things we have to do," Power added. More specifically regarding Jarrard's film, Power spoke highly of the Peach State native while also pointing out ar- eas that could have been better. "When we were evaluating his sopho- more season and then saw him at the Ri- vals Five-Star Challenge, we were really impressed with him," Power said. "We were looking at him obviously as a 2027 recruit, and his accuracy stacked up re- ally well. The neutral setting evaluation was really strong. "With his transfer from North Cobb Christian to North Cobb, the compe- tition level jumped up. His 2025 sea- son was a bit up and down. You see the positives — he's very accurate and com- fortable as a game manager, and you'd want to see more production knowing that it's his final season of high school football." By the same token, part of a quarter- back's stats and tendencies at the high school level may be due to what coaches are asking him to do. It's BGI's under- standing that this was the case in North Cobb's offense in 2025. "Trying to separate the player from the situation is something we endeavor to do," Power said. In 12 contests this past fall, Jarrard connected on 174 of 268 passes for 2,292 yards with 18 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions. North Cobb fell in the second round of the Georgia 6A playoffs. "He is a clean distributor," Power stated. "He's very accurate and has strong mechanics. There are similari- ties from a passing skill set perspective to CJ Carr. "If you can keep him clean in the pocket, he can distribute the ball to playmakers, make good decisions and not worry about the ball placement. He'll keep you ahead of the chains and is a quality deep-ball passer. There's a replicable consistency to his passing." Jarrard's focus isn't about the noise of a recruiting ranking. He's locked in on graduating and getting himself men- tally and physically ready to roll. Jarrard didn't get to enroll early like Grubbs did, but he and Notre Dame are doing every- thing possible to get him involved with the team virtually. "The only thing I won't be able to do is practice with the team, and I'll have a workout regimen before I enroll," he said. "I want to be on track with every- one else in the room as much as I can when I come in the summer. I'll prob- ably be a little bit behind, but I have to try and catch up." ✦ During the 2025 season, Jarrard threw for 2,292 yards with 18 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. THEY SAID IT Rivals director of scouting and rankings Charles Power: "He delivers on time, has a really good feel and when you see him live in a seven-on-seven setting, he is not overwhelmed. It's not sped up for him at all. We saw his processing ability, and that jives with what you see on film. He's an accurate, on-time passer from the pocket. "Jarrard has a lot of what you look for in the passing department. From what I've seen, he's just a cool customer. You put him in pressure situations on Friday nights or in a competitive camp setting, and he rises to the occasion more times than not. You like to see that." North Cobb head coach Shane Queen: "From the food he puts into his body, to the way he sleeps at night to the way he prepares for each day, Teddy is an elite high school quarterback with a profes- sional mindset. I have never seen anything like it. "Teddy is different, and there just are not guys like him. He is on a different level, not only with his ability, but his preparation."
