C O M P enn State's first preseason camp under head coach Matt Camp- bell is underway. Save for a short break following Lift for Life in early July, the Nittany Lions have been working for months to ensure they put their best foot forward, with the 12 weeks of sum- mer workouts transitioning straight into preseason camp. The only real window fans got into the team's offseason progress was a water- logged scrimmage in April, during which many spectators ended up taking shel- ter beneath the overhanging portions of Beaver Stadium's upper deck. Aside from the Blue-White Practice and a handful of spring workouts that were briefly open to the media, the team's work was be- hind closed doors. For the most part, we've been relying on the assessments of Campbell and his staff to gauge the Nittany Lions' prog- ress. But others have been privy to the team's workouts, namely the players themselves. At Big Ten Media Days, BWI polled the Nittany Lions' representatives — redshirt senior quarterback Rocco Becht, redshirt junior offensive tackle Anthony Donkoh and redshirt junior linebacker Tony Rojas — to see which of the Nittany Lions' younger players have been turning their heads.
