C O M Michael Anderson— Baseball Anderson was chosen in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball Draft in July, going to the Texas Rangers with the 149th overall pick. The designated hitter from Havertown, Pa., was named a first-team All-American as a senior after setting a Penn State single-season record with 20 home runs. Anderson was chosen by the Rangers as a two-way player, the first in PSU history to be drafted. He made two pitching appearances during his lone season with the Nittany Lions. Anderson previously pitched 8.2 innings during his freshman season at Rhode Island. Bella Ayscue — Women's Soccer For the second consecutive year, the junior from Apex, N.C., was named a United Soccer Coaches Defender to Watch. As a sophomore, Ayscue was a fixture on Penn State's back line. Seeing action in 21 matches, she was a key part of a solid PSU defensive effort. The Nittany Lions surrendered 25 goals and posted 6 shutouts, allowing an average of 1.19 goals per match. Ayscue was also an offensive contributor, finishing with 5 points on 2 goals and an assist for a Penn State team that went 10-8-3 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the 32nd consecutive season. Luke Lilledahl — Wrestling The rising junior is one of two Penn State wres- tlers who are set to compete for Team USA at the U23 World Wrestling Championships later this year. Coming off his 125-pound national championship in March, Lilledahl will compete in the 57-kilogram (125.7-pound) freestyle class at worlds, which will take place Oct. 12-18 in Las Vegas. He's a three-time age-group champion, having won world titles at the U17, U20 and U23 levels. Lilledahl will be joined in Las Vegas by fellow Penn Stater Jayden James. The incoming freshman is set to compete for Team USA in the 74-kg (163.1-pound) class. Alexis Stucky— Women's Volleyball Stucky was one of 18 players named to the Pre- season All-Big Ten Team, joining senior teammate Kennedy Martin. A redshirt senior setter from Laramie, Wyo., Stucky is getting ready for her first season with the Nittany Lions. She spent her first four seasons at Florida, where she was a 2022 third-team AVCA All-American and a two-time All-SEC choice. Stucky goes into her final collegiate season with 3,047 career assists, as well as 626 digs and 80 aces.
