6 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ WOLFPACK CLUB NEWS Where are you from? I grew up in Lees- burg, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C. Where did you go to school? I went to James Madison University, where I majored in sport and recreation manage- ment. What are your current responsibili- ties at the Wolfpack Club? It's a little bit of everything. We ticket eight different sports, and my primary focus is making sure there are enough leads in the pipe- line for our six full-time staff and three interns. My philosophy on this is sales efficiency. We have the ability to sell out every single football game. The trick for us is how we get to that sellout faster so we can reallocate our time to work on men's basketball, women's basketball and get to the other sports. There's a balance between making sure we've got that time and pushing our limits with football. We try to find that balance within our strategy. What did you do before joining the Wolfpack Club? I was a facili- ties assistant at JMU before working for two years in minor league baseball. From there, I worked at George Mason University before I came down to Raleigh in March 2020. What's your favorite part about working at the Wolfpack Club? It's the culture. We're one of those unique industries where we can have our families involved in some capacity on game days. I've got a 1-year-old and a 31/2-year-old, and when they get to come to a game day, it's a big deal for our house. My boss Ben Broussard and athlet- ics director Boo Corrigan encourage that level of involvement. My job is exciting, especially on the sales side. What are your hobbies? The big one is hanging with my kids. We do a lot of play- grounds, some hiking and see some fam- ily in the area. I genuinely enjoy watching sports, not just working in them. What's your favorite TV show? "Dr. Who," "Ted Lasso" and "Newsroom." What's your favorite movie? "Money- ball." What's your favorite musical artist? Linkin Park What's your favorite restaurant? Moth- ers and Sons in Durham is a top place for us, but Cookout is probably our go-to fast food spot What's your favorite NC State mem- ory? We hosted UConn a couple years ago in women's basketball. On our side in the ticket office, tradition- ally we don't have a lot of influence with what happens on the field or court. In that case, specifically, I feel like we did. Anybody who called in with an 860 or a 203 area code, which are both in Connecticut, we declined their sale. We told them to go to the secondary market. We wanted to keep our building red and white. When we got to game day, it was all red and white. It was clear from the opening tip-off that it was not an environment that UConn was comfortable playing in. For us, it was, "We did our job." We nailed it.
