"I really enjoyed the visit," Wallace said. "Even though it was a tough loss, it was a great experience getting to see everything in person. What I saw from the team was energy and passion. The White Out atmosphere was crazy. The energy from the fans was different, and seeing the stadium completely packed in white was crazy. I also enjoyed get- ting to watch the team compete all four quarters. It was a great experience." Quarterback Deaken Johnson of Hamilton Southeastern in Fishers, Ind., hasn't been ranked yet by Rivals, but he is the only 2029 signal-caller to earn a scholarship offer from Penn State so far. The 6-1, 185-pounder earned that of- fer after camping with the Nittany Lion coaching staff back in June. Schools such as Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Virginia Tech have also offered. Indi- ana, Notre Dame and Tennessee are also showing serious interest. "I had a great experience," Johnson said. "Seeing the White Out for the first time was unreal. It was easily one of the loudest places I've been. Tough loss against USC, but I saw a team that kept competing. Coach Campbell and the staff were great, and I love the energy and what they're building in Happy Valley." ■ C L A S S O F 2 0 2 7 C O M M I T M E N T S * Name Pos. Ht. Wt.
