NOVEMBER 2026 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 51 ❱ MICHIGAN RECRUITING 17 for his second Michigan visit of the fall – and was another standout who extended his "amazing!" visit another day. "The culture, the fan base and the coaching staff continue to stand out," Coellner said. A pa i r o f 2 02 8 q u a r te rba c ks — Brayden Tillman (No. 388 overall na- tionally, No. 28 at QB) and Levi Kerr (No. 303 overall nationally, No. 21 at QB) — both made it to Ann Arbor with their families. Kerr, from Waxhaw (N.C.) Marvin Ridge High, picked up an offer during the visit. "It was amazing," Kerr said. "I had a blast!" Kerr shouted out the staff, specifically highlighting head coach Kyle Whitting- ham, offensive coordinator Jason Beck and quarterbacks coach Koy Detmer Jr. alongside the front office and recruiting staffers. "The facilities are amazing, but it's the people that make it special," Kerr said. Michigan also hosted a talented group of linebackers during the Penn State weekend, including standout 2028 ath- lete Camden Noe (No. 110 overall na- tionally, No. 5 at athlete). Another U-M 2028 target, Brayden Bonik (No. 168 overall nationally, No. 14 at linebacker) was another intriguing blue-chip visi- tor who picked Michigan for his only out-of-state game-day visit this fall. The Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point junior took note of the Texas presence on U-M's roster and enjoyed his day in Ann Arbor. "The atmosphere was [impressive] with the huge stadium, and the hospi- tality was great just like in the spring. They showed me that I'm wanted and that they believe I can make an impact in this program," Bonik said. Fellow Texas linebacker and three- star 2028 prospect Tyce Payne (No. 45 at LB) said the victory over Penn State was "was the most electric game I've been to this year!" "I love the way the team rallied be- hind Tommy Carr when he went in," Payne said. "There is really good team chemistry. The defense played great and forced some big turnovers. They made big plays when it counted." Michigan extended a couple more 2028 offers Oct. 17, including one to River Rouge (Mich.) High receiver Jer- rimiah Cross (No. 117 at WR) — one of the breakout stars in the state this fall. Cross said the visit was "great," and the love he received from the staff stood out. The Wolverines also extended an early offer to 2029 unrated prospect Slade Stevenson, who recently picked up his first Division I offer from Utah. Steven- son said that afternoon with Michigan was "unbelievable." "From the coaches, the staff, the fa- cilities, to the Big House and game day atmosphere, it was a great weekend visit," Stevenson said. KELLAN HALL RETURNS TO MICHIGAN Kellan Hall, the nation's No. 2 ju- nior and top defensive lineman, vis- ited Michigan several times during his freshman year in 2024. The Wolverines were his third Division I offer, and the five-star prosect never went more than a year without making a trip to Ann Ar- bor while he was establishing himself as one of the most coveted 2028 recruits in the country. Oklahoma, Kentucky, Ohio State and others emerged this year as major con- tenders for Hall's services. Michigan hosted him Oct. 17-18 for a two-day visit that helped the program remain firmly in the mix. "I didn't know what to expect, and I didn't know much about this new staff, but it makes things a little bit clearer in my decision and moves the needle a little bit for some people in other as- pects," Hall told The Wolverine shortly after leaving campus. "We're still taking it day by day, for sure." The 6-foot-5, 275-pound defen- sive lineman said this trip "definitely" helped Michigan's standing in his re- cruitment. Hall confirmed that he visited the Wolverines after defensive tackles coach Larry Black pursued him consistently over the past few months. After spending a lot of time around Black and the rest of the staff this week- end, Hall indicated that he was going Five-star defensive line target Kellan Hall, the No. 2 junior in the country, extended his Michigan visit an extra day during the Penn State weekend.
