memories of his time in Happy Valley,
during which he learned invaluable
lessons not just about football but
about life. As a sophomore, he led
Penn State in rushing, carrying 136
times for 689 yards (5.1 yards per
carry) and six touchdowns.
In 1991, he was an eighth-round
pick by Houston and made his NFL
debut later that season. Two years
later, he eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark
with the Oilers for the first time in his
career, gaining 1,002 yards. He surpassed 1,000 again with the Giants in
1998, his second-to-last year in the
league. In his eight NFL seasons, he
played 99 games and totaled 4,300
rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.
"I had fun doing that. It was a great
time for me and I enjoyed it. It was a
dream that had come true," Brown
said. "I had an opportunity to play
with great players, great offensive linemen, great quarterbacks throughout
my career and had great coaching. So,

since he was accustomed to the routine
of getting up, working out and doing
