A "prospective student athlete" is any student who has begun classes for the 9th grade, any student younger than 9th grade who has received any benefit from an institution or an athletics booster, or students enrolled in preparatory school or any two-year college. Wolfpack Club members and donors should NEVER contact a prospect or their family to encourage him or her to attend NC State. This includes contact initiated online via social media (Twitter, Facebook, Google +, etc). If you wish to inform a coach about a potential athlete, please go to gopack.com and email that information to the appropriate coach. Providing an extra benefit to a student-athlete, a prospective studentathlete or their family/friends. An extra benefit is any arrangement to provide a gift, money or benefit that is not available to the general public or to all students. This includes free or reduced cost services, meals, lodging, transportation, a loan or line of credit or entertainment. Using the name or photograph of a student-athlete for a commercial purpose. Wolfpack Club members and donors may hire a current student-athlete for a bona fide employment opportunity in which he or she will be paid the going rate and for work actually performed. You cannot, however, use a student athlete's name, athletics reputation/fame/ following, picture or reputation to promote a commercial establishment in any way.
