Brooklyn, N.Y., five-star defensive tackle Thomas Holley loved his first trip to South Bend June 21, and the Irish became a major player in his recruitment at that time. The 6-4, 285-pounder continues to name Notre Dame as one of his top schools, and he has confirmed that he will be in South Bend for an official visit later this season, although the exact date hasn't been determined yet. Alabama, Ohio State and Penn State seem to be the stiffest competition for Holley's services. 247Sports ranks Holley as the No. 28 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 4 defensive tackle in the land and the No. 2 recruit in New York. Fresno, Calif., four-star wide receiver Michiah Quick recently informed BlueandGold.com that he will take an official visit to Notre Dame for its matchup against USC Oct. 19. The 6-0, 173-pound athlete is explosive with the ball in his hands and put on a show at The Opening in Beaverton, Ore.
