football recruiting Breaking Down The Early 2015 Offers By Tom Loy A lthough there are still five months to go until the class of 2014 recruits sign their National Letters of Intent, Notre Dame is trying to get a jump on the competition and has sent out more than 20 offers to some of the nation's top rising juniors in the 2015 class. The following is a look at the junior prospects that hold an offer from the Irish. Jack Beneventi QB • 6-6, 185 pounds Lisle, Ill. (Benet Academy) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 209 prospect in the nation, No. 12 pro-style quarterback in the land and No. 3 recruit in Illinois. The Skinny: Beneventi remains very high on Notre Dame. He made a summer tour that included stops at Tennessee, Penn State and others. The talented signal-caller maintains that the Irish are his current leader. Torrance Gibson QB • 6-4, 200 pounds Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (American Heritage) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 106 prospect in the nation, No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the country and No. 16 player in Florida. The Skinny: Gibson wants to get to the NFL, but he and his family are focused on getting a strong college education first. The Irish currently sit in his top five, and he is expected to visit during the 2013 season. Jacques Patrick RB • 6-1, 213 pounds Orlando, Fla. (Timber Creek) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 90 prospect in the country, No. 9 running back in the nation and No. 12 player in Florida. The Skinny: When Notre Dame offered back in January, Patrick called the offer "amazing" and added that he would like to visit the school prior to making a commitment. However, Patrick is expected to stay in Florida. Nick Brossette RB • 6-0, 207 pounds Baton Rouge, La. (University Lab) Lisle (Ill.)
