For Notre Dame, first-time starting quarterback Jarious Jackson completes only 4 of 10 pass attempts,
but in a span of 2:38 in the third quarter he tosses four- and 35-yard touchdown passes to tight end Dan
O'Leary and wideout Raki Nelson, respectively, for a 23-13 lead that would balloon to 36-13. Jackson adds
62 yards rushing to complement senior tailback Autry Denson's 162 yards and two scores on the ground.

yards). The duo had combined for 14 attempts for 32 yards through the first three quarters before totaling 14 for 138 yards in the fourth.
