football recruiting Aug. 27. The day he committed to LSU, Brossette told BlueandGold.com that he and his mother spoke with Notre Dame assistant coach Tony Alford for nearly an hour during the night prior to his pledge to the Tigers. The talented back had been in constant communication with the Notre Dame staff and continuously said that a decision wasn't coming soon. This recruitment may not be over. There are two question marks surrounding Brossette — will he visit South Bend this season and where will 2014 five-star running back Leonard Fournette end up? Look for Brossette to make a visit to Notre Dame, and with Fournette likely ending up at LSU, the prized junior could look elsewhere to play ball. Aliz'e Jones TE • 6-4, 222 pounds Las Vegas (Bishop Gorman) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 22 prospect in the country, No. 1 tight end in the land and No. 1 player in Nevada. The Skinny: If there is a long shot that could end up in Notre Dame's 2015 class, it could very well be Jones. The nation's top junior tight end visited South Bend June 24 and called the campus "beautiful and really nice." Look for him to return later this season or for an official visit during his senior year. UCLA is the favorite, but the Irish are firmly in his top three. Devonaire Clarington TE • 6-6, 224 pounds Miami (Westminster Christian School) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 92 prospect in the country, No. 3 tight end in the nation and No. 13 recruit in Florida. The Skinny: There are question marks surrounding Clarington's current academic situation, but he's a guy that Notre Dame is very high on. If he can get his academics in order, Alford may be able to pull off the upset for the Irish. Rasheem Green OT • 6-5, 270 pounds Gardena, Calif. (Junipero Serra) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 35 prospect in the nation, No. 8 offensive tackle in the country and No. 5 player in California. The Skinny: The future U.S. Army All-American recently listed Notre Dame as one of the schools standing out to him. Green has a great relationship with Irish wide receivers coach Mike Denbrock, and in July he told BlueandGold.com that he's interested in getting away for college. Tristen Hoge OT • 6-5, 287 pounds Pocatello, Idaho (Highland) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 77 prospect in the nation, No. 6 offensive tackle in the country and No. 1 recruit in Idaho. The Skinny: Throughout the majority of the summer, Hoge had Notre Dame as his leader. After a visit to Florida in August, the future U.S. Army AllAmerican said that the Irish and the Gators were his co-leaders. Notre Dame continues to sit in great shape, and he will be back on campus in November for the game against BYU. A commitment could occur on that visit. Jerry Tillery OT • 6-5, 315 pounds Shreveport, La. (Evangel Christian Academy) 247Sports Rankings: Four stars, No. 73 prospect in the nation, No. 5 offensive tackle in the country and No. 3 player in Louisiana. The Skinny: It's not often that a kid grows up in For the latest notre dame recruiting news, visit BLueandgold.com
