recruit Elijah Hood "decommitted" from Notre Dame, there
were the typical and varied reactions
from Notre Dame faithful:
Anger: "What the heck is the matter
with these prima donna kids today?"
Denial: "We'll still get him on signing
day."
Acceptance: "Hey, we've got five or six
backs already, and they all have eligibility
at least through next year. There are other
fish in the sea to get later."
Indifference: "We don't need his kind.
If you can't keep your word, you don't
belong at Notre Dame anyway."
Oops. That last one would come
across as somewhat hypocritical.

TJ Jones or junior center Nick Martin? Jones originally gave his pledge to
Stanford prior to an 11th-hour change
of heart, while Martin had committed
to Kentucky.
