◆ Oct. 15, 1931 — Virginia played
its dedication game at Scott Stadium
in front of a then-capacity crowd of
22,000. UVa lost 18-3 to VMI.
◆ Oct. 9, 1982 — The first
night game is played at
Scott Stadium, thanks to por-
table lights. However, the Cavs fell to
defending national champion Clemson 48-0.
◆ Oct. 15, 2005 — The Wahoos
record the biggest crowd in Scott
Stadium history — 63,106 fans —
during Virginia's 26-21 triumph over
No. 4 Florida State.
