The Indianapolis native had narrowed his list to California, Oregon and Louisville, in addition to the two schools above, in the summer months. But now, with the addition of a Penn State scholar- LEE ship offer, he knows he has a tough decision ahead of him, especially considering the relationship he's begun to build with Nittany Lion linebacker coach Ron Vanderlinden. "I think he's a great coach from what I can tell, Lee said. "Now that they can call " me once a week, he's been doing so every single week. And I've called him multiple times as well. " After visiting Berkeley on Aug. 30, Lee has essentially narrowed his list down to three reamining schools that will vie for his final two official visits. He also has set a target date of Nov. 8, and hopes to make his decision final by then. That means the Penn State staff doesn't have much time to make its case. So far, however, Vanderlinden appears to have done well. Lee understands the potentially opportunities that await if he were to chose the Nittany Lions: early playing time, solid education and the potential to play under a coach who almost perenially sends linebackers to the NFL. "Penn State is always a solid team," he said. "Then [it has] the academic side, along with the graduation rates of their players. Also, there's an opportunity to play pretty early." Oregon and Louisville have also remained in constant contact, meaning one of either the Ducks, Cardinals and Nittany Lions will be left out. So, what are S E P T E M B E R Penn State's chances of earning an official visit? "Yeah, I'd say there's a good chance that I may [visit]," Lee said. "We've spoken about me visiting for the Michigan game on October 12th, I believe. That's one date I'm looking at as of now." Lee has mentioned that he'd like for the Oct. 25 visit to Virginia Tech to be his final official visit. If he does visit Penn State Oct. 12, that leaves only three additional weekends – Sept. 28, Oct. 5, Oct. 19 – for him to visit either Oregon or Louisville. "This was actually my fourth visit to Penn State," Abramson said. "I've been there for practice a few times now. This was actually my first game at PSU. It was excellent. I loved everything about it. " He has already earned two verbal scholarship offers from Rutgers and South Florida. And the Nittany Lion staff has already made it clear that he could end up being one of their top quarterback targets two years from now. PSU has yet to offer a scholarship. Since he's still an underclassmen, his contact with Penn State has been relatively limited. However, he was able to meet with a few Penn State coaches on Saturday. "I really like all the coaches up there, they're great people," he said. "I spoke with Coach [Charlie] Fisher and a few coaches before the game." So, what did he think of Beaver Stadium? "It's incredible," said Abramson, "one of the best atmospheres in college football." 1 8 , 2 0 1 3 9 WNTJ............. 1490-AM...................................Johnstown WLAP..............1490-AM....................................Lancaster WNPV.............1440-AM.....................................Lansdale WLBR.............1270-AM.....................................
