the coaching staff in his short time on campus, while Beh has verbally committed and will join the team next year. Which 2015 prospects are at the very top of offensive line coach Mac McWhorter's wish list? With the NCAA capping Penn State at 65 scholarships from 2014 to '17, it's clear that the coaching staff will prize versatility. Prospects who have the ability to play multiple positions will have an edge over other potential targets. One prospect to bear in mind is Richie Petitbon III, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound fourstar offensive lineman out of Gonzaga College High School in Washington D.C. Petitbon's grandfather Richie was a fourtime Pro Bowler for the Chicago Bears before becoming the Redskins' defensive coordinator under Joe Gibbs. His father, Richie Jr., had a successful four-year career playing linebacker at Maryland, so the younger Petitbon comes from a great football family. Penn State looks to be in excellent position with Petitbon. He raved about his visit to campus last November for the Lions' memorable overtime victory over Wisconsin. In June, he returned to attend camp and work with McWhorter, but he has also made a name for himself on the national recruiting scene, having picked up offers from Alabama and LSU among others. "Alabama and LSU are great programs – I'm high on both – but Penn State is another school that I really like, Petitbon " said. "They have great coaches, and I know I'll have an opportunity to get on the field early if I work hard. I still have a lot to think about. A lot of people think I'll definitely go to Bama or one of those elite programs down South, but I have to like more than just the football aspect. "I'm going to be looking at everything: the school, academics, the town. I've already seen a lot of Penn State, and I really like what they have to offer up there. I have a long way to go, though. " Another prospect to keep an eye on is Ryan Bates, an athletic lineman from Archbishop Wood in Warminster, Pa. At 6-5, 285 pounds, Bates is another versatile prospect who could fit in just about anywhere on the offensive line.
