JUDGMENT CALLS The best and the rest from the Lions' loss in Bloomington PLAYER OF THE GAME Indiana quarterback Nate Sudfeld wasn't perfect, but his 23 completions on 38 attempts went for 321 yards and two touchdowns. It was more than enough to earn his Hoosiers a win. PLAY OF THE GAME On a critical fourthand-2 early in the fourth quarter, Penn State's pass fell incomplete. Within a matter of minutes, Indiana put two more touchdowns on the scoreboard to effectively clinch the victory. BEST PASS On first-and-10 at the end of the first quarter, Sudfeld aired out a 33yard pass down the left sideline to wideout Cody Latimer. It set up the Hoosiers' first touchdown of the afternoon. Sudfeld's final touchdown of the afternoon – a 36-yarder to Kofi Hughes – was equally impressive. BEST RUN On second-and-7 in PSU territory, Indiana running back Tevin Coleman started to his right, then cut left past Glenn Carson and into open space. The run went for 44-yards and a touchdown. BEST CATCH Indiana's Cody Latimer managed to outleap Malcolm Willis for a catch 26 yards down the left sideline midway through the second quarter. Hughes' fantastic 36-yard TD grab in the fourth quarter gets a nod as well. WORST DROP Trailing 21-14, Stephen Obeng-Agyapong had a perfect interception opportunity midway through the third quarter, but he let the ball slip through his hands. Fortunately for PSU, Adrian Amos picked off the next pass, bailing out his teammate in the process. BEST SACK Early in the first quarter, Anthony Zettel easily evaded Hoosiers' left tackle Jason Spriggs and swarmed to Sudfeld for a drive-ending sack. BEST HIT C.J. Olaniyan lit up running back Tevin Coleman for a 5-yard loss midway through the first quarter. BEST EFFORT Allen Robinson snatched Christian Hackenberg's pass 8 yards downfield, sprinted 10 yards upfield before shifting against the grain. The move allowed Robinson to skirt into the end zone untouched to tie the score, 77. BEST DECISION Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson stuck with the run and it paid major dividends in the second half. Indiana finished the afternoon with 183 net yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns. WORST DECISION There were a series of questionable play calls, and considering PSU never got going on offense, defense or special teams, it lends credence to the theory that this team was simply ill-prepared. MOST TELLING MOMENT Indiana's first scoring drive of the afternoon covered 66 yards in just four plays and used only 44 seconds. – NATE BAUER C as u a l Metropolitan Casual M etropolita n Dining ropolita ropolitan tan t g Lu c and Dinne Lunch and Dinner unch inner Sma l Plat Small Plates Small Plates ma la ates Martini Night Martini Nights artin ght rtini tini ts RESTAURA T RE TAURANT RESTAURANT AURANT AURAN ANT www.GigisDining.com We W st College Cato Ave., State College West College & Cato Ave., State Co lege oll le Cat Av a tate oll tate Co ollege o c t o b e R 5 , 2 0 1 3 814 861 3463 814 . 861 . 3463 6 3463 346 4 b l u e w h i t e o n l i n e . c o m
