I think this is when Everett realized our commitment to him, because he was the starter going to Norman even though Tommy had played the whole game the week before against BYU and had finished strong against Stanford. Everett understands now he's our guy. It's a lot like Michigan State, but even better. The game went the same way, we pull away and win by 17. Do all the things right in the fourth quarter. They tie in the fourth quarter, and we score 17 straight, and defense does it with big interceptions and big stops, and offense with Chris Brown. The biggest catch all season is by Chris Brown. Talk about writing a story. Once again, Disney makes it, but they don't believe it. No way that guy's first catch is going to be Week 8 in Norman. And it's in the fourth quarter, not the first quarter. It's a 55-yard bomb, and it's the one thing you still scratch your head about. But, again, coach [Kelly] using all his resources, we're always ready, always right place, right time. He [Brown] probably played five snaps the whole game. Plus, we think we're past any quarterback issues at all
