An Irish Salute
Cadets at the Air Force Academy presented colors before Notre Dame
played the Falcons in Colorado Springs Oct. 26. The Irish played consecutive games against service academies this season for the first time
since 2007. Notre Dame first began playing the military's teams in 1913
and has faced them 164 total times with an overall record of 133-26-5.
In the past decade, Notre Dame started the tradition of standing with
each academy during its postgame alma mater as a sign of respect.
