Event Recaps Foundry Golf Tournament The 2013 Virginia Athletics Foundation Golf Tournament was held at the Foundry Golf Club in Richmond on October 14. The annual fundraiser was coordinated by Coley Wortham, Bob Mizell, and the VAF staff to benefit the University of Virginia men's and women's golf programs. This year's tournament raised over $15,000 for both programs. Two teams tied for first place: Cliff Cutchins, Lee Hilbert, Walter Jones and Gene Webb, who were paired with head men's golf coach Bowen Sargent; and Lindsay Wortham, Meg Gilmer, Boodie McGurn and Kit Bredrup, who were paired with first-year golfer Jimmy Stanger from Tampa, Fla. The Virginia Athletics Foundation is grateful for the generosity of this year's sponsors, Coley Wortham, Bill Goodwin and VAF Board of Trustees members from Richmond (Ron Carey, Bart Farinholt, Jack Fockler, Barry Koval, Joey Smith and Bill Tyson). All-Sports Reunion 2013 The 8th Annual VAF All-Sports Reunion was held over Homecomings Weekend on October 25-27. Over 650 UVa student-athlete alumni and their guests attended events and games throughout the weekend. This year's signature event was the 40 Years of Women in Sports celebration, which kicked off the Reunion festivities on Friday at the Boar's Head Pavilion.
