BYU will be his fifth such game at Notre Dame. 40 On Jan. 19, 2014, it will mark 40 years to the day that Notre Dame recorded its most famous men's basketball victory, a dramatic 71-70 comeback win versus UCLA to end the Bruins' 88-game winning streak. The Irish opened that campaign on a Thursday night with a 14-7 victory at Vanderbilt. As a partial member of the ACC starting in 2014, Notre Dame does not anticipate playing any weekday games, which Kelly had at many of his previous stops. "The ACC plays [weekday] night games," Kelly said. "We've tried to stay away from that [scheduling] rotation and I think we're going to be successful in staying away from those [weekday] games. I would like to stick with the Saturday format unless it's a prime-time game, maybe an opener that pits Notre Dame in a marquee matchup on Labor Day, or something like that. I've had enough of Tuesdays and Thursdays and those other days."
