be mainly a backup to fifth-year senior Asa Watson this fall. Grinnage, though, emerged as the primary tight end for the Wolfpack. He caught 15 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown, and he made several impressive one-handed catches along the way. 22. OG Duran Christophe Along with Schooley, Christophe was the mainstay on NCSU's offensive line. The fifth-year senior started every game for the Pack this season at left guard. 23. CB Jack Tocho Tocho was the other revelation among true freshmen on defense this year. He became a starter for the final seven games when injuries reshuffled the secondary and moved Johnson from corner to safety. Tocho responded by picking off two passes against Syracuse in his first career start. He closed the season with 25 tackles, three passes broken up and a quarterback hurry to go with those interceptions. passes for 173 yards and a touchdown, and he converted screen passes at Duke and Boston College into gains of 44 and 61 yards, respectively. ■ 24. OT Tyson Chandler A knee injury forced Chandler to miss the season opener against Louisiana Tech, but otherwise he was another mainstay on the offensive line. RB Matt Dayes Another true freshman that played a prominent role this season, Dayes was third on the team and second among NCSU running backs with 252 rushing yards.
