■ football recruiting Ruble told Rivals.com. "I went up on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. They put on this little Thanksgiving thing for the boys. A lot of the family members came in, too. A few of the coaches brought their wife and kids. "Having all of that going on the day before a game when everyone is usually in the zone was cool. That really stuck with me after the visit." Rated by Rivals.com as a three-star prospect and the No. 13 player in Maryland, Ruble is expected to announce his choice by mid-December. His teammate, defensive end Deonte Holden, is already committed to NC State. NC State also convinced Will Richardson of Burlington (N.C.) Cummings High to take an official visit Dec. 6. The 6-6, 330-pound Richardson committed to Virginia over NCSU and Florida State in May, but with Cavaliers head coach Mike London likely fighting to keep his job next season Richardson may be having second thoughts. Richardson, who was selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas All-Star Game, is expected to enroll early so he will need to make a final decision quickly. Rivals.com rates Richardson as the No. 16 player in the state of North Carolina. Proud to support the Wolfpack and NC State! The Pack hosted five-star Kentavius Street from Greenville (N.C.) Rose High on an official visit Dec. 6. He had earlier visited Ole Miss Oct. 25, and he is expected to see LSU and Miami in January. NC State is Street's leader. "My number one thing really is I have such a strong connection with my mom," Street noted. "I really don't want to leave her. It's close to home, and just the family environment, that's another top thing in my recruitment. They just have two things that most colleges don't." Rivals.com ranks Street (6-3, 265 pounds) as the No. 17 overall player in the country and No. 2 prospect in the state. He had 89 tackles, including 16 for loss and four sacks, entering the semifinals of the 4-A state playoffs. Street will play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas All-Star Game and U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Four-star Lorenzo Featherston of Greensboro (N.C.) Page High played sparingly as a senior due to injuries, but he did find time to take official visits to Florida (Oct. 4), Florida State (Nov. 15) and Clemson (Nov. 22). He is expected to use his other two officials before making a choice, and NCSU is likely to get one of them. Featherston, who is listed as the No. 13 • comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services for individuals. • Full service plan management for profit Sharing/401k plans. • consulting for corporate retirement plans and non-profits. www.Guardianca.com Proud suPPorter of the WolfPack since 1996 guardian capital adviSOrS, llc 3948 brOwning place, Suite 200 • raleigh, nc 27609 ph: (919)782-7619 tOll free: (800) 948-6761 e-Mail: info@guardianca.com SecuritieS Offered thrOugh triad adviSOrS, MeMber Finra/Sipc and adviSOry ServiceS Offered thrOugh guardian capital adviSOrS, LLc, a regiStered inveStMent adviSer.
