■ basketball recruiting Twins Cody (left) and Caleb Martin are 6-6 small forwards who were all-state selections at Mocksville (N.C.) Davie High last year before transferring to Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy for their senior seasons. photo by Jacey Zembal have to rebound, they'll rebound," Gottfried said. "It doesn't matter what it takes, they seem to be willing to do it. We are excited about their future." Gottfried already wants to dust off some plays for when Caleb Martin arrives. "We are always hunting for another Scott Wood," Gottfried said. "But they are hard to find. Caleb is one of the closest things you can find to a guy like Scott Wood that can shoot the ball." Gottfried is also encouraged by Cody Martin's developing jump shot. "I think Cody has improved his shooting tremendously as well," Gottfried said. "Now, you have two tremendous perimeter shooters." Gottfried likes that the Martin twins will face great competition at Oak Hill Academy and knows they'll improve this season. "The biggest thing will be their strength and how quickly they can get ready to play at this level," Gottfried said. Bossi has been watching the Martin twins on Team Loaded and various individual camps for multiple years. Their rankings have fluctuated, but he likes their athleticism and size for the wing. "Either one of those guys could be used at the four in a pinch because they rebound and have some physical toughness," Bossi said. "Like Abu, they'll need to hit a college weight room and get stronger. They'll need to transform high school bodies to college bodies because there is a difference. They are both comfortable shooting mid-range jump shots and have that twins' sense of playing together." Bossi will get to see Abu and the Martins play in person Jan. 19-20 at the Hoop Hall Classic in Springfield, Mass. Abu and Kimball Union Academy square off against Gill (Mass.) Northfield Mount Herman at 11 a.m. Jan. 19, and the Martin twins and Oak Hill Academy play Chicago Whitney Young at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 20 on ESPNU. "The questions in my mind with Abu won't be answered until I see him in college," said Bossi, referring to watching Abu against taller, physical players. "With Abu, you have a pretty good idea of who he is and what he is. "With Caleb and Cody, will they look like guys that are both legitimate top-50 players like they were earlier in their careers. Is there still a separation between the two? Have they expanded their games? The biggest thing would be ball handling and doing more off the dribble." NC State has one scholarship remaining for the class of 2014 and should have at least three for the class of 2015. "I never shut the door on any possibility," Gottfried said. "If there is a situation that fits our program for what needs we have, we will absolutely take a look at it. If not, we are very excited about the guys for next year." ■ For regular reports on NC State basketball recruiting plus videos of Wolfpack commitments and targets visit TheWolfpacker.com.
