St. Peter's Prep in 2015, it wouldn't be a surprise if O'Brien and his staff were to sign three or possibly four defensive ends in the 2015 class. 2015 OFFERS Kamonte Carter: one of the top five athletes in Maryland... can also play LB; Ricky DeBerry: rated by some as the top inside or middle linebacker in ACC country for the Class of 2015… also a top10 DE prospect nationally; Clelin Ferrell: rated right behind DeBerry as the top DE in Virginia; Darius Fullwood: one of the top student-athletes in Maryland… rated one of the top seven prospects in Maryland's 2015 class; Tyrone Wheatley: top-rated player in New York for the 2015 class… father was a tailback at Michigan and now is on the Buffalo Bills' coaching staff. RYAN SNYDER'S TAKE Of the five prospects Penn State has targeted, Fullwood and Carter are without a doubt the two who are most likely to sign. Wheatley appears headed to his father's alma mater, while Ferrell hasn't shown much interest. DeBerry has visited twice, but he has more than 40 offers. Fullwood has already made it clear that Penn State is the early favorite, as has Carter, so look for Larry Johnson and John Butler to make a push for commitments this spring. One other player to watch is Jonathan Holland of the Bullis School in Potomac, Md. Holland is one of the most mature prospects I've ever dealt with. If Penn State were to extend an offer, I think he would be a perfect fit off the field. I also think he would consider committing almost immediately. DEFENSIVE TACKLE RETURNING PLAYERS Brian Gaia (Jr.), Derek Dowrey (Jr.), Austin Johnson (Jr.), Parker Cothren (So.), Tarow Barney (Sr.), Antione White (So.), Thomas Holley (So.) OUTLOOK Given the possibility that Penn State could add one more defensive tackle to its Class of 2014, BWI wouldn't be surprised if it were to sign only two DTs in 2015. 2015 OFFERS Harry Lewis: rated along with Tim Settle of Manassas, Va., as one of the EDITOR'S NOTE Class status notations reflect returning players' eligibility in the 2015 football season.
