AIR FORCE GAME NOTES BY DAN MURPHY KYLE BRINDZA TIES A PERSONAL BEST Kyle Brindza's final kick of the 2013 season crashed to the ground just a few yards away from where his role model has spent the better part of a Hall of Fame career. The reliable Notre Dame kicker has idolized Yankees closer Mariano Rivera for as long as he can remember, and once again he showed that he's picked up a few things from his hero. Brindza made 5 of 6 field goal attempts in a game largely void of touchdowns to power Notre Dame to a 29-16 victory in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. He capped the game with a victory-sealing 49-yarder that collided with the centerfield wall to the right of the baseball bullpens.
